India Scraps West Bengal Chemical Hub

Going it alone: The Haldia petchem complex will not form part of a PCPIR. The state government of West Bengal, India has scrapped a proposed Petroleum, Chemicals, and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR) at Nayachar Island on environmental grounds.
