The new ethylene dimerization unit will be designed to produce 20,000 m.t./year of the polyethylene co-monomer. The AlphaButol process is based on homogeneous catalysis. Gail operates a gas-based integrated petrochemical complex at Pata with capacity for 410,000 m.t./year of polyethylene. The complex is currently being expanded to 900,000 m.t./year.
