Deepak Fertilizers reports higher sales, confirms interest in acquiring MCFL

Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals (Pune, India) has reported a 27% growth in revenue in the first fiscal quarter 2015 to 30 June 2014 to 9.45 billion Indian rupee ($155.33 million) compared with the year-earlier period but a 12% decline from the preceding quarter. Profit before tax was down 6% to Rs560 million and profit after tax was 7% lower at Rs398.5 million.   The company says its performance in the quarter was adversely affected by stoppage of gas supply to its Taloja, India plant following a decision by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas...
