Clariant to acquire masterbatch producer in India

Clariant Chemicals India (Mumbai) says that it intends to acquire masterbatch producer Plastichemix Industries (Vadodara, India), for about 1.35 billion Indian rupees ($21.7 million). Plastichemix is a pioneer in the masterbatches business in India and has production facilities at Kalol, Nandesari, and Rania, in the Indian state of Gujarat, Clariant says.
