Chempolis and ONGC sign deal for production of cellulosic ethanol and biochemicals

Chempolis (Oulu, Finland), a biorefining technology company, says it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC; New Delhi), for the first biorefinery project in India. Chempolis and ONGC are also targeting production of sustainable biofuels in India, that will help reduce India’s dependence on imported petroleum, Chempolis says.
