Bharat Petroleum Plans Petrochemical Project in India

Bharat Petroleum (Mumbai) plans to invest about Rs50 billion-Rs60 billion ($1.04 billion-$1.25 billion) to establish a petrochemical complex at its refinery site at Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India, say press reports. The petrochemical complex, which is expected to be completed in the next five years, will produce petrochemical products that are currently being imported into India.
