Regions :: India/Pakistan Bayer Acquires Animal Health Company in New Zealand7:37 AM MDT | November 3, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Bayer says it has agreed to buy the Bomac Group (Auckland), a privately owned animal health company with 290 products, targeting food animals in particular. Through this acquisition Bayer strengthens its animal health business with special emphasis on emerging markets in the southern hemisphere. Bomac's main focus is on the treatment of mastitis with dairy cattle and parasiticides in sheep. Bayer says it also aims to benefit from Bomac's R&D expertise, especially in the field of mastitis management and parasite control. Financial details of the transaction...
