AkzoNobel India appoints new managing director, ups sales

AkzoNobel India (Gurgaon) announced today that it has appointed Jayakumar Krishnaswamy as managing director. He replaces Amit Jain, who is taking on a larger role within the AkzoNobel group. Krishnaswamy joined AkzoNobel India in 2011 as director/supply chain. He previously worked for Hindustan Unilever and for Lafarge.   Meanwhile, AkzoNobel India reports sales in the quarter ended 31 December 2013 of 6.56 billion Indian rupees ($104.8 million), an 8% rise on the year-earlier period.
