(BPCL; Mumbai) has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment & Forests (New Delhi) for BPCL’s previously announced Rs140-billion ($2.54 billion) expansion project at its refinery site at Kochi, India, say local press reports. A previously announced Rs50 billion-Rs60 billion petrochemical project at the Kochi refinery site– a joint venture with LG Chem (Seoul) – will move ahead simultaneously.
