Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Volkswagen's Indian Plant in Deal to Use Russian Tires7:18 AM MDT | August 19, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Tatneft (Almetyevsk, Russia), Russia's major energy group, has agreed a deal via the local Kama Trading House, a distributor of the Kama and Kama-Euro tires produced by Tatneft's Nizhnekamsk based plant, to supply Volkswagen's (VW) Polo Sedan cars assembled at VW's plant in India, which was opened in March 2009. The deal follows similar arrangements between VW and Tatneft to supply VW's Polo Sedans manufactured at Kaluga, Russia. The Kama-Euro brand are tubeless radial tires and are suited for all seasons and their design reduces the risk of aquaplaning, Tatneft...
