Uralkali wins auction for Romanovsky potash block in Russia

Uralkali, one of the world’s largest potash producers, has announced that it has won the auction to develop the Romanovsky block of the Verkhnekamskoye deposit of potassium and magnesium salts in Russia’s Perm region, close to much of the company’s existing potash deposits. The company says it plans to finalize the licence agreement as soon as practicable. The cost of licence is 325.83 billion Russian ruble ($9.47 million). The estimated reserves of the new block are 385 million m.t...
