Uralkali to Close Capacity

Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia) says it plans to halt operations permanently at a mine and ore-treatment mill that form part of the company's potash mining complex at Berezniki. The mill has been "working at increased operational cost," Uralkali says. The closure will coincide with start-up of potash production at another part of the complex, resulting in an overall net increase in capacity.
