Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Uralkali Reports Increased Net Sales, Net Profits1:23 PM MDT | September 12, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), one of the world leaders in potash production, says net sales in the first half of 2012 increased 15.1%, to $1.9 billion, compared with $1.65 billion in the first half of 2011. Net profits and Ebitda also increased 6% and 32.8% in the first half of 2012, to $842 million and $1.4 billion, respectively. Production and sales volumes of potassium chloride (KCI) decreased 7% and 3.7% in the first half of 2012, to 4.8 million m.t. and 5.1 million m.t., respectively, the company says.
