Uralchem adjusts fertilizer output to cater to demand

Uralchem (Moscow), a major producer of fertilizers, says that it achieved record production results last year, particularly of ammonia, following increase in output at its facilities in the Perm region and in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Russia. Production of ammonium nitrate and its derivatives reached 2.789 million m.t., an increase of 7% compared with 2012. The company, however, adjusted production to demand, which resulted in ammonia output being reduced by 3% to 768,000 m.t. Urea production decreased by 2% to 1.138 million m.t. Production of compound fertilizers was 5%...
