Solvay Buys Fluorspar Mine in Bulgaria

Solvay has acquired a fluorspar mine at Chiprovtsi, Bulgaria from the N&N Group. The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, reinforces the vertical integration of Solvay's fluorinated specialty polymers and fluorinated special chemicals production at a competitive cost, Solvay says. The transaction includes the transfer of all fluorspar concession and exploration rights to Solvay.
