Sibur's Petchem Production to Rise This Year, Driven by Polymers

Sibur (Moscow) says it expects to increase production of petrochemicals by 14% in 2011 compared with 2010, to 18.8 million m.t. The company, meanwhile, has approved total investments of rubles 73.4 billion in all of its businesses, including petchems, this year, compared with rubles 58.5 billion last year. Investments completed in 2010 include synthetic rubber projects at Togliatti and Voronezh, Russia and a world-scale styrenics complex at Perm, Russia.
