Sibur looking at alternative sites for petchem project in far eastern Russia

Sibur representatives last week visited the village of Chernigovka, in Russia’s Amur Region, to investigate siting its previously announced petrochemical complex. Sibur and Gazprom in November signed a memorandum of cooperation, which is expected to lead to Gazprom constructing a gas processing plant (GPP) in far eastern Russia and Sibur building a pretrochemical complex at Belogorsk, Amur Region.
