Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Sibur Picks Tobolsk Contractors; Builds EPS Plant at Perm12:25 PM MST | January 14, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Sibur (Moscow) says it has selected processes and contractors for a previously announced propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene (PP) complex at Tobolsk, Russia and that it is going ahead with an expandable polystyrene (EPS) project at Perm, Russia (CW, Dec. 12, 2007, p. 18). Sibur’s Tobolsk-Polimer subsidiary will use UOP’s Oleflex technology for the dehydro unit, which will have capacity for 510,000 m.t./year of propylene, and Ineos’s Innovene process for the 500,000-m.t./year PP plant.
