Sibur Considers IPO in 2013

Petrochemical producer Sibur (Moscow) says it will launch an initial public offering (IPO) most likely in 2013, according to a Reuters report. Sibur did not provide a valuation, but says the IPO done by petrochemicals maker Petronas Chemical (Kuala Lumpur) in 2010 is a possible benchmark for comparison. Sibur is 50% owned by Russian investor Leonid V. Mikhelson, CEO of Novatek (Moscow). Novatek is Russia’s largest independent gas producer and the country’s second-largest natural gas producer.
