Shareholders Approve Russian Potash Merger

The boards of Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia) and Silvinit (Solikamsk, Russia) have announced that shareholders of both companies have approved a previously announced merger, which will create the world's third largest potash producer. The merger is expected to be completed in May, subject to government and regulatory approvals.
