Russian firm NKNK to begin constructing cracker project next year

Nizhnekamskneftekhim, (NKNK; Nizhnekamsk, Russia), one of Russia’s leading petrochemicals players, plans to begin constructing a previously announced petrochemical complex next year, according to Rustam Minnikhanov, president of Tatarstan Republic, home of NKNK. Minnikhanov’s announcement was made in his annual address to the republic’s parliament. The complex will be designed to produce 1 million m.t./year of ethylene.
