Rosneft and General Electric to invest $400 million in joint projects

Rosneft (Moscow) and General Electric have announced that they have signed an agreement to set up a series of joint ventures. The document was signed by Rosneft president Igor Sechin and General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt in the presence of the prime minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.   The agreement is aimed at the expansion of science and technology cooperation between the companies and, in the first phase, envisages the creation of two specialized centers: application engineering and training center, and an R&D center.
