Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Rohm and Haas Buys Finnish Emulsions Business6:03 AM MST | January 16, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Rohm and Haas says it has agreed to buy the Finndisp division of Oy Forcit AB (Hanko, Finland) for approximately €60 million ($85 million). Finndisp is a producer of water-based emulsions used in the manufacture of paints and coatings, lacquers and adhesives in northern Europe and the CIS. Rohm and Haas says it expects to complete the transaction at the end of the first quarter. The acquisition adds two production sites to Rohm and Haas's €1.4 billion/year paints and coatings materials business, one in Hanko, the other still under construction near...
