Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Praxair Acquires Gases Business in Russia1:18 PM MDT | March 12, 2012 | Ian Young Praxair says it has agreed to acquire the industrial and packaged gases business of Sibur-Russian Tyres (SRT; Moscow) in the Volgograd region of Russia. The business operates under the Volzhsky Azot name and it includes two air separation units and a bulk and packaged gases business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Praxair says it is investing in four separate projects in Russia with a combined production capacity greater than 3,500 m.t./day of gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and argon.
