PhosAgro raises fertilizer output in first quarter

PhosAgro (Moscow) reported higher first-quarter results with fertilizer output up 5.2% and sales 0.6% higher compared with the corresponding period of 2013. Total fertilizer output reached 1.6 million m.t. Phosphate fertilizers production was up 4.3% to 1.23 million m.t. and that of nitrogen-based fertilizers was 8.2% higher at 374,800 m.t. The Apatit mine and beneficiation plant on the Kola Peninsula, which produces high grade phosphate rock, reported a decline in output by 2.5% to 2.17 million m.t.   Sales volumes were flat at 1.64 million m.t. with...
