Management Buyout Planned for Sibur

A group of five senior executives at Sibur Holding (Moscow) has announced its interest in acquiring the 70% stake held in Sibur by Gazprombank (Moscow). The group, led by Sibur president Dmitry Konov, made the announcement at a board meeting last week. The executives have agreed to stop acting in their current roles until May 15 while a proposal for shareholders is prepared and any potential negotiations are undertaken, Sibur says.
