Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Maire Tecnimont Signs LDPE Plant Contract in Russia12:08 PM MDT | April 10, 2009 Maire Tecnimont says it has signed a contract worth €15 million ($20 million) with Novyi Urengoi Gas Chemical Complex (Novyi Urengoi, Russia), a Gazprom subsidiary, to provide detailed engineering and technology services to expand capacity of a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Novyi Urengoi. Capacity of the plant, which uses LyondellBasell technology, will be raised to 400,000 m.t./year. The plant’s current capacity is 300,000 m.t./year, sources say.
