Lukoil launches Volgograd refinery upgrade project

Lukoil (Moscow) says is is installing a vacuum gasoil (VGO) deep conversion unit at its Volgograd, Russia, refinery and has awarded the more than $1.4-billion turnkey contract to Técnicas Reunidas (Madrid). The project will allow the refinery to increase the output of Euro-5 diesel fuel by 1.8 million m.t./year.
