Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Lukoil Commissions Chlorine and Caustic Soda Production Unit in Ukraine7:05 AM MST | November 12, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Lukoil (Moscow) says its Karpatneftekhim (Kalush, Ukraine) petrochemical subsidiary has commissioned a chlorine and caustic soda production unit at Kalush. The new unit will produce 200,000 m.t./year of commercial caustic soda and about 180,000 m.t./year of gaseous chlorine. The chlorine and caustic soda production unit, which was built in about two years, involved an investment of over $150 million.
