K2010: Sibur Confirms Cracker Plans; JV with Dow Delayed

Sibur (Moscow), Russia's largest petrochemicals player, has outlined it's medium-term investment plans. Dmitri Konov, CEO, speaking today to the press by satellite connection during the K plastics exhibition, currently taking place in Düsseldorf, said that he sees the competitiveness of Sibur's assets improving after the planned construction of a 1-million m.t./year steam cracker at Tobolsk, Russia in 2015.
