Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Russia Gazprom and Japanese Partners to Collaborate on Projects in Russia's Far East9:11 AM MST | January 17, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Gazprom (Moscow) and the Japanese Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, which forms part of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (Meti; Tokyo) have signed an agreement to carry out feasibility studies for gas-based projects around the Vladivostock region of Russia's Far East. A joint front-end engineering design for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant near Vladivostock is expected to be completed this year, under the terms of the agreement.
