Belarus issues warrant for arrest of major Uralkali shareholder

Belarus has issued an arrest warrant on Monday for Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, co-owner of leading potash producer Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), Belarus news agency Belta reports. Belarus’s Investigative Committee says it has charged Kerimov in absentia with “organizing an abuse of power.” Kerimov has been placed on an international wanted list and could face a maximum of 10 years in prison, Belta says.
