Air Products opens carbon dioxide liquefaction plant in Poland

Air Products has opened a plant for the liquefaction of carbon dioxide (CO2) at Grupa Azoty's (Tarnów, Poland) site at Tarnów-Moscice, Poland, Air Products says. Construction of the plant forms part of a long-term agreement between Air Products and Grupa Azoty. Air Products invested more than €10 million ($13 million) to build the plant, the company says. Grupa Azoty provides Air Products with crude CO2—arising as a by-product in manufacturing ammonia—which is purified and liquefied at the new plant. The continuous CO2 stream...
