Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Hungary Yara Makes NPK Plant Closure Permanent8:51 AM MDT | May 29, 2009 Yara International says it will make permanent the closure of an NPK fertilizer plant at Peremarton, Hungary with the loss of 110 jobs. Yara halted production temporarily at the facility in October 2008. The Peremarton plant, which has a production capacity of 150,000 m.t./year, lacks access to competitively priced raw materials and is not flexible enough to accommodate new market requirements for nitrogen, phosphate, and potash combinations, Yara says.
