Report: Petkim to increase capacity 12.5% this year

Petkim (Alia─ča, Turkey) will increase its total production capacity 12.5% from 3.2 million m.t./year, to 3.6 million m.t./year in 2014, according to a report from AzerNews. The expansion will require an investment of $25 million, the report says. Details of the expansion were not disclosed but Petkim said earlier that it would increase its ethylene and purified terephthalic acid (PTA) capacities. Ethylene capacity is expected to increase by almost 13%, to 587,000 m.t./year from 520,000 m.t./year, and PTA capacity will rise to 105,000 m.t./year from 70,000...
