Oltchim to resume production next week

Production is due to resume at the Ramnicu Valcea, Romania complex of Oltchim (Ramnicu Valcea) on 12 October after the Romanian government decided to shelve the company's privatization. The announcement was made to the Romanian press by Achille Dutu, president of the country's chemical and petrochemical trade unions federation, following a meeting attended by Rodin Traicu, secretary of state at the Ministry of Economy (Bucharest). The state will provide loans to finance the restart, and the company's workforce will be paid outstanding salaries within 14 days...
