Borsodchem Job Deal

BorsodChem (Kazincbarcika, Hungary) says it has suspended plans, announced in early February, to cut 550 jobs, about 20% of its total, following a pledge of support from the Hungarian government. The local authority of Kazincbarcika initiated talks between the government and BorsodChem because the company is “the largest employer” in the area, says Peter Szitka, mayor of Kazincbarcika.
