Regions :: Eastern Europe :: Hungary Expanded HDPE plant starts up in Serbia11:58 AM MST | January 3, 2013 | Ian Young HIP Petrohemija (Pancevo, Serbia) says it has started operations at an expanded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at the company's Pancevo refinery and petrochemicals complex. HDPE capacity increased from 76,000 m.t./year, to 90,000 m.t./year. The plant was also modernized during the expansion and the overall cost of the project was more than €2 million ($2.6 million), HIP Petrohemija says. The plant uses HDPE technology supplied by Chevron Phillips Chemical. HIP Petrohemija says that the expanded HDPE plant could reach a capacity of 100,000...
