Unipetrol sharpens focus on petrochemicals in 2013–17 strategy

Unipetrol (Prague), a subsidiary of central Europe’s largest refiner and petrochemicals producer PKN Orlen (Plock, Poland), says it intends to strengthen its petrochemicals market position through restructuring and efficiency improvements under its 2013–17 strategy. Unipetrol has allocated an annual capital expenditure of 3.8 billion koruny ($196.6 million) during the period, close to a 50% increase on the 2008–12 period. Most of the capital expenditure will be spent on projects in the petchems and power segments, the company says...
