Czech Parliament Overrules Reach Veto

The Czech parliament has voted by a large majority to adopt legislation implementing the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) legislation. The vote overrides a recent veto of the legislation by Czech president Václav Klaus (CW, Aug. 11/18, p. 5).
