Report: EU to impose huge tariffs on imports of solar panels from China

The European Commission is planning to introduce tariffs of up to 67.9% on EU imports of solar panels from China, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), which claims to have seen a copy of a document outlining the commission's plans. The tariffs, to be introduced by 6 June, will range from 37.3% to 67.9%, the report says. The decision follows an antidumping investigation launched by the commission in September 2012 into imports of solar panels and their key components originating in China.
