Europe remains a center for plastics activities, PlasticsEurope says

PlasticsEurope (Brussels), one of the leading European trade associations, says that demand for plastics in the 27 European member states in 2012 declined 3.2%, to 45.5 million m.t., accounting for 19% of the global total. Packaging accounted for 40.2%, building and construction 20.8%, and automotive 8%.
