EU launches public-private partnership, including Cefic, for sustainable process industry

The European Commission has launched the public Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency (Spire) public-private partnership (PPP) with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), Cefic confirmed today. The MOU was signed with partnership organizers, including the chemicals industry represented by Cefic. Spire, a major sustainability flagship initiative of Cefic, is backed by chief executives from major European chemical companies, Cefic says.
