EU Launches Evaluation Stage of Reach

The European Union (EU) has begun to implement the 'Evaluation' component of its Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program. An initial list of 90 substances has been selected for evaluation. The substances have been selected because regulatory authorities in the EU suspect they pose a risk to human health or the environment.
