Clariant Reports Higher Earnings, Sales; Buys Out Catalyst JV in Ukraine

Clariant says its sales increased 6% in the second quarter of 2012, to SF1.98 billion ($2.03 billion) compared with SF1.87 billion in second-quarter 2011. This improvement is mainly a result of a 3% increase in selling prices, which more than compensated for a 1% increase in raw material prices.
