Sinopec's chemical losses narrow

Sinopec’s chemicals segment reports an operating loss of 409 million renminbi ($67 million) in the first half of 2013 compared with an operating loss of Rmb1.25 billion in the first half of 2012. The chemicals segment reports a 5.35% rise in sales in the first half of 2013, to Rmb211.5 billion, mainly due to an increase in sales volume, Sinopec says.
