Sinopec and Sibur sign rubber JV deal in presence of presidents of China and Russia

Sinopec and Sibur today signed a contract to set up a previously announced synthetic rubber production joint venture at Shanghai. The signing ceremony took place during Russian president Vladimir Putin’s state visit to China. China’s president, Xi Jinping, was also present at the signing. The partners also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. Sinopec and Sibur, as part of the cooperation, will discuss potential expansion of trading operations and look into collaboration opportunities in gas processing and petrochemical projects.  ...
