Sinofert Reports Rise in Profits and Sales

Sinofert (Beijing) has recorded a 27% increase in net profits for the full year 2011, compared with 2010, to Rmb678 million ($108 million). Full-year sales increased 25.3%, to Rmb36.68 billion. And the company's total sales volume in 2011 increased by 6.1% to 16.46 million m.t. The fertilizer sector in China remained resilient in 2011 with the continuous growth in domestic food demand and various supportive measures introduced by the Chinese government to promote agricultural development, Sinofert says.
