Showa Denko expands capacity for high-purity ammonia in China

Showa Denko says that it has increased the production capacity for high-purity ammonia—a specialty gas for semiconductor production—at the company’s Zhejiang Quzhou Juhua Showa Electronic Chemical Materials subsidiary’s site at Quzhou, China, from 1,000 m.t./year to 2,000 m.t./year. The expanded facility started operation earlier this month. Following the capacity expansion in China, Showa Denko has a total high-purity ammonia production capacity of 6,000 m.t./year.
