Regions :: China Messer forms jv in China to produce food-grade CO28:04 AM MST | January 17, 2013 | Natasha Alperowicz The Messer Group says it has signed an agreement with the Chinese chemical company Sichuan Meifeng to form a joint venture to produce liquid carbon dioxide (CO2). The new company, Sichuan Meifeng Messer Gas Products, will spend 60 million renminbi ($9.6 million) to build a 100,000-m.t./year liquid CO2 plant in the Economic Development Park at Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, China. Sichuan Meifeng will provide raw CO2 gas feedstock from the company’s exhaust gases produced as part of ammonia and ammonium nitrate manufacture to produce food-grade...
